Zev was born and raised in New York and graduated from Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College with a B.S. in Psychology. After taking a gap year to travel, he went on to earn his M.S in Psychology at Hunter College, with his graduate thesis focused on the effects of social stress on the startle response.
