Nick served in the U.S. Army for seven years and is participating in an internship with Ndhlovu Lab in partnership with the U.S. Army in 2022-23. During this time, Nick studied under Scott A. Bowler learning and gaining hands-on experience with computational biology, DNA and blood processing, and machine learning.

Fun Fact: Nick can play two instruments (bass guitar and flute) and enjoys photography and media editing.
